sense of self

Movement is our nature. It’s easy to believe movement is something we do, but we are moving and movement.
Our bodies hold the truest intelligence about how we are, yet most of what moves within goes unobserved or is misinterpreted because we give more value and attention to our thinking mind.
We feel certain ways yet convince ourselves otherwise because the thinking mind takes precedence.
Of course, the body and mind aren’t separate, but overthinking creates so much distance from our body’s sense of self that we either convince ourselves otherwise or encourage numbness.
It’s not what we do, but how we move through life that is most important.
Mindful movement reorients us back to self, because we become attuned to how we truly feel (and move) in each moment. This shifts us from sleepwalking/dreaming to wakefulness.
Trying to reweave a sense of self feels uncomfortable but life is too precious to waste even a second.
Sense of self involves exploring all the layers, constantly listening to the wisdom and information our bodies offer. It’s about trusting the felt sense over and above the thinking mind.
Movement matters; it’s medicinal.
